Under 8 Playing rule reminders:

1.       We are playing 6 vs 6 with no goalkeepers. We would love to see game scores having ten plus goals combined.

a.       Please encourage players to engage in all phases of the game

           i.      Please ask defenders to push up from the box.

ii.      Please ask attackers to come back to help defend.

b.      About equal playing time

iii.      Please rotate players to all positions.

2.       “NEW” – we are using academy scoring,

a.       If a team goes up by 4 or more goals, the team that goes behind may add a player.

b.      If a team goes up by 6 or more goals, the team that goes down may add a second player.

c.       If a team scores and drops below 6/4 goals behind, a player is removed.

d.      We will not go down a player.

3.       “NEW” – goal kicks – for the under 8 division, we will not press off goal kicks. Please have your players drop back to their half when defending a goal kick. By doing this it will allow players to be able to play out of the back. Once the ball is played, the defensive team may go and pressure.

4.       Throw-ins players are allowed to repeat throw ins to get it correctly.

5.       Game Rosters – Please fill out a game roster and make sure to give it to the referee. I will email those to you next week and they will be available on the web site.
