El Classico at Damon's

Players and Families,

You are invited to join me and my family at Damon's (now under new management and called, "Letterman's") at 3:45 on March 22nd to watch El Classico prior to our last indoor soccer game.  El Classico is the name used when FC Barcelona plays Real Madrid, an exciting match-up of two of the best teams in the world featuring the two best players in the world: Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

We will have tables for the players, for which I will provide food and drinks.  The food will be pizza and and items from the appetizer menu.  We will also have a "prize closet" of Barcelona and Real Madrid merchandise and my daughters will plan a few simple games with give-aways for the winners, though I'm tempted to keep the Barcelona hoodie sweatshirt for myself.  There's a hint about who I will be rooting for.  Following El Classico, we move over to Mt. Nittany and play our own game.  I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon/evening.

Families are most certainly welcome.  There should be plenty of space.  We will be downstairs in the "club house".  I just ask that you make your own arrangements and pay for your own food.  This is a great way to experience soccer played at the highest level by the best players in the world.  The more, the merrier.

Transportation is also your responsibility.  The players will need a ride to and from Damon's and to the Mt. Nittany Middle School (MNMS) following El Classico.  The timing should work out well.  El Classico begins at 4:00 pm and games run about two hours.  So, we should be done around 6:15 pm, in time to drive to MNMS for our own indoor soccer game at 7:00 pm.  If you need help, talk to the other parents.  Car pooling is a great idea.

That's all for now.  Watch your emails for an invitation or poll and please RSVP because I will need a head-count.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or talk to me at next Sunday's game.  More than likely, it is a question that everyone needs to know.

I hope to see you there,
